Rebecca Sarlo, Ph.D.
Coordinator, Florida Response to Intervention Project, Tampa, FL

Rebecca Sarlo is the Coordinator of Secondary RtI Implementation for the Florida Problem Solving and Response to Intervention Project (PS/RtI).  Prior to this position, Rebecca worked as an RtI Specialist for the Florida Department of Education as part of a regional Differentiated Accountability (DA) support team.  Rebecca has extensive experience facilitating both elementary and secondary school-based leadership teams as they scale up their RtI implementation efforts.  Rebecca’s experience working with the DA team has allowed her the opportunity to facilitate consensus building, infrastructure development, and PS/RtI implementation in Florida’s most struggling schools.  In addition to working in these targeted schools, Rebecca provides professional development and technical assistance in PS/RtI and related topics for school and district leadership teams.  Rebecca holds a Doctorate degree in School Psychology from the University of South Florida.  She has two wonderful children, Madelyn (age 10) and Ashton (age 8), who remind her everyday why her work is so important.
