| Judy Elliott is currently the Chief Academic Officer for the Los Angeles Unified School District. Formerly an Assistant Superintendent of Long Beach Unified School District in CA and prior to that, a Senior Researcher at the National Center on Educational Outcomes at the University of Minnesota, she started her career as a classroom teacher and then school psychologist. Judy continues to assist districts, national organizations, state and federal departments of education in their efforts to update and realign curriculum frameworks, instruction and assessment to include all students. Her research interests focus on data based systems reform, effective instruction for all students, including special education, second language learners, and gifted students, the alignment of standards, assessments, accommodations, and decision making for accountability and improved achievement. |
